Getting there from Birmingham New Street
- Train from Birmingham New Street to Barnt Green on the Cross-City line (West Midlands Railway).
- Direct trains run every day, several an hour.

Start point
Lickey Hills Country Park Visitor Centre, Warren Lane. The route also passes close to Barnt Green station, so you can join it from the train.

Terrain
Well defined footpaths and bridlepaths through woodland, then fields and quiet lanes. Some slopes to climb and a little roadside walking. Woodland paths get muddy after rain.
Cafe or pub stop
The visitor centre serves tea, coffee and snacks. Barnt Green village has cafes and the Barnt Green Inn.
In winter
Short enough to finish well inside winter daylight. Car parks fill on weekend afternoons, which is another reason to come by train.
