Privacy notice

Who we are

Wayfellow is a trading name of Specvista Technology Ltd. Specvista Technology Ltd is the data controller for the information on this site. Contact: hello@specvista.com, with Wayfellow in the subject.

What we collect

When you register interest we store:

• your name and email address
• the first half of your postcode only, for example B15, so we can group people who start from the same area
• your preferred distance, pace and days
• whether you are interested in women-only trips, if you choose to tell us
• the date you registered, the consent text you agreed to, and a one-way hash of your IP address used only to limit spam

We do not ask for your full address, date of birth or phone number at this stage.

Why we use it

To email you about the first trips in the West Midlands and to plan groups that suit the people who registered. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give when you tick the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time.

Interest in women-only trips is used only to plan how many of those trips to run. It is never shown to other members.

Who sees it

Only the Wayfellow team. We use these processors to run the service:

• a hosting provider that runs the private server holding the database
• Resend, to send the confirmation email

We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

How long we keep it

Until you ask us to delete it, or 24 months after you last registered or booked, whichever comes first.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw consent. Email hello@specvista.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
